Transdisciplinary Research: What, Why and How?

The Vitae-funded SHARE (Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts Researcher Education) network will present a one-day session on Friday 12 July, exploring both why and how we should and can encourage, support, and maximize the development of inter-disciplinary, cross-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary research. The event will be hosted by University College London and will include presentations given by academic staff at various stages of their careers, research developers, and representatives of the Research Councils.

Participation from academics or researcher development staff of any UK university is welcomed. Participation from postgraduate and early-career researchers is also welcomed. The event is likely to be of particular benefit to those who work within and/or currently support postgraduates in the Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts, and who either already promote or would like to learn more about supporting inter-disciplinary, cross-disciplinary or multi-disciplinary research.

Further details and a provisional programme can be found on the SHARE think tanks webpage.
